About Designer

Born in 1976, Constance Guisset lives and works in Paris. Constance Guisset is a French designer with an original story. After studying economics and business at ESSEC and IEP in Paris, followed by a year in the parliament in Tokyo she chose to focus on design. In 2007 she graduated from ENSCI - Les Ateliers and founded her studio. She quickly earned recognition through winning prizes such as the Grand Prix du Design de la ville de Paris in 2008, the public prize at the Design Parade in Villa Noailles 2009, and finally in 2010 both the designer of the year at Maison et Objet, and the Audi Talent Awards. Her different research paths have led her to work with Petite Friture, Fontana Arte and Molenti amongst others for product design.In addition she has worked with Angelin Preljocaj, Established & Sons and Galeries Lafayette notably working with the latter on scenography, and has worked with video for Le Musee des Arts Decoratif and the design Biennale in Saint-Etienne.

• The SuperWire Suspension 3 Lamp its soul is born from the great glass masters of the last century, where material and light performed a silent, elegant dance. The form of the SuperWire Suspension 3 Lamp did not follow a trend; it was born from the light itself. We developed a custom light source so unique, it demanded an entirely new architecture. The result is a warm, perfectly homogeneous radiance that seems to emanate from the glass itself, as if the pane were imbued with a soft, inner sunrise.
  
• Each piece is a composition of flawless planar glass hexagons, connected by a slender bridge of polished aluminum. The effect is a play of weightlessness and structure, of reflected brilliance and transmitted warmth.

Design Concept

• Our team debated for a long time over whether to use a metal mesh shade or a glass shade for the exterior, obviously the former would be simpler in terms of craftsmanship, but it would make the lamp more industrial and vintage, we wanted it to be more of a post-modern style lamp, so you see it as it is now!

Note

1. As mentioned above, such a glass cover can be difficult to work with, we don't have a way to mold the glass cover in one piece, so we need to cut the top of the glass cover when it's ready to the right size to put in fixings such as metal rods.

    This may result in a slight crack near the cut at the top, which will not affect the appearance at all from below, and will not be a quality issue, but if you are concerned about this, please consider your purchase carefully. We wish you have a nice day.
